.. having to search relentlessly through Wiki articles. It's such a waste of time. |

The advantage is that is more ethical and cleaner to have a straight to the point page with direct access to copies of different documents related to protocol, file formatting, Subspace code, etc. It just does not feel right to look at it through that Wiki. I feel more comfortable looking at Catid's page than a Wiki page.
Instead of just giving someone a link to some Wiki that could use some organization, cleaning (washing), and a better theme, it might be just easier to direct a programmer to a page that hits the targets on the spots (bulls eye). Those Wiki pages stress me out more than Catid's simple page does. I like his style over the ugly Wiki. If I hired a programmer who had nothing to do with Subspace, I think the chances of this programmer having a quicker understanding to how all this works would be far quicker than a Wiki page. It isn't crammed and cluttered with so many useless colors/tables/cells/boxes/etc. It is rather difficult for me to accurately portray to you why making a page with specifically documents, than to store it on Wiki (well, I'm fine if it is stored in a Wiki database, even a category of its own, but it would be far more organized and cleaner than a Wiki). Anyway, whenever I have time I'll be adding a few documents to that page. |

The wiki has no structure to it, so it's impossible to find anything. |

Search and the main page work great for me. Not sure what I want, that top menu bar on the front for QuickLinks works great to just browse around without knowledge of wikis. The idea behind a Wiki isn't just a collection of documents, it is a collect of documents that users can edit and add to. Not enough information about something, but you figured it out anyways, add to it. |

My goal was to find a setting |

So I looked for "settings", hoping to get the big list of them, but the only thing I got was a page of perhaps 20 settings. |

I'd done a similar thing a few days earlier, looking for BanG commands, but I don't remember search strings. I don't think I ever found what I was looking for. |

Just wondering why you are naming the page catid and using his details. Since you added documents that weren't written by him or being credited to anyone else. It looks like you are trying to pass off everything on that page as either catid's work or "catid approved". Sure you can keep the layout, but I would prefer it if you renamed the URL and removed the stuff in the top right. |
