Hey guys, i need a little help fixing my Continuum.exe

I cant run continuum, when i do it just sits there with the hourglass.

I open up my task manager and i see Continuum.exe and it is moving around from one spot to another, and when right click on it to use the end ask button it wont allow me to.

I tried one of my friends advice, and that was to use Run As... and when i do that it works fine until i go to open a zone, when i go to open a zone it will open up the loading screen and show the map for a few seconds, then it will close and say cannot load map or cannot load commands.

This has happened to me on my other computer and on this computer ( before i formated it ) But then it only did it once in a while.

I was told there are a few bugs in Continuum 0.39 so i downgraded to 0.38 ...... still no go. so i went into the continuum file and manually deleted EVERY file there was, then i searched my pc for any other continuum files and deleted the also, and downloaded 0.38 again and still no go.

Make sure you run continuum.exe out of your continuum folder, best thing to do is make a shortcut on your desktop...

The whole cannot load map thing, does it show the map then close out, or get to the download screen and close out? When i have my continuum folder open for some reason on the download screen it says cannot load map or whatever. If thats the case just close out the cont folder..Ive got other suggestions except reinstall.

I can't download levels or lvz when I do run as either... i think windows prevents it.

do you have anti-virus stuff going? try disabling that.

-I never do run continuum inside of the continuum folder, and when i use run as when it loads the map will show up for a split second thin go to my desktop, and for some reason when it does that it messes up my desktop picture lol.

-I have tried turning off everything except my internet, so no fire wall no virus scanner, no spy wear scanner, nothing. Windows doesnt prevent Run As... from loading up the map because on my other computer it will let me and most of the other people that log on more then once "clone" are using windows.

Sometimes if you have a anti virus disabling it won't help, you have to uninstall it completely. Depends what anti virus you are using, i know spyware doctor won't let you run it and you have to uninstall it completely. Try uninstalling your anti virus and then try running continuum.exe, Then when you need to scan get it back, scan, uninstall again.

Hey guys i found a fix for it..... Well it worked for a while then now nothing again lol

Alright, uninstall continuum FULLY, so that means go to add remove and remove it, then go to the c drive then program files and delete the file completely, then download ccCleaner, run ccCleaner and run both parts of it ( the cleaner and the issues ) Once you have done that, download continuum 0.38 DO NOT DOWNLOAD 0.89 <-------BLOWS lol ( has allot of unfixed glitches/bugs ) and it should work.

Hope it works for you guys also. icon_cool.gif
