General Questions - Can't quite connect.

Post subject: Can't quite connect.
Note: This is the first time that I've ever tried something like this. Please excuse me if I've done something stupid.

I'm trying to test an arena that I'm making. I hope to move on to more ambitious projects some day, but I'm keeping it simple for now.
At the moment, I'm just trying to connect to a zone that I'm hosting on my computer.

Running Subbill.exe seems to work fine.
Running subgame2.exe seems to work fine - it claims to have connected to the billing server.
I can even find my server on the Continuum Client. It's named JonMW's Test Zone.
When I add it to the zone list, it appears in green (like every other name). However, after about 10 seconds or so, it and several other zones turn red with no ping or player number, indicating (to me) that there's no connection.

So.
Here's my server.ini file, passwords *'d out.

Now, I was thinking that I should be able to connect to a zone hosted on my own computer, even if I wasn't connected to the internet.
When I right-click on my zone in the zone listing in the Continuum client, it says that the IP is not 127.0.0.1...
Is something wrong?

*edit*

I downloaded and ran the INIchecker program.
It changed the Billing IP to localhost.
Helpful, but I still can't connect to the zone.

*edit*

Ok, I just tried entering my zone as a custom zone. It's still red in the zones list, no luck.
Any help?

What did you put in for the custom zone?

Change the [Directory] NamePassword value to something sensible for your zone to appear on the directory server list (if it can reach it)

There's a single .lvl with nothing else. No bots, no .cfg, and no other players.

Maverick:
The password isn't really one character long. I just typed in a random number of asterisks to blank it out in my code quote.

Also:
By downloading the really old Subspace client, I've been able to access the level offline.
That's all I really needed to do at this point. I'll come back if I need more help.

Sorry, I mean for the adding custom zone in Continuum.

Oh, I get it.
I think that I also misread your first post... my bad.

Well, after my "custom zone" failed to connect, I deleted it, since I didn't think that I needed to keep it any more.
I remade it today, with...

Name: JonMW's Test Server
IP Address: 127.0.0.1
Port: 7700
And for some reason, this one worked.

The good news is that I can now test the arenas I make. The bad news is that the version of my zone that I access through the "zone download" doesn't connect.
But that's not important - I don't want to run a zone on my computer.

A lot of routers have problems with you connecting to the WAN IP from the LAN for some reason (though I never had this problem). The big thing is that you want to forward your ports correctly so that others can access your zone.
