General Questions - SSME Tile swap FUnk838 (0) - Sat Oct 07, 2006 9:21 pm Post subject: SSME Tile swap
When I open a map and go to file-import tileset, nothing happens. My new tileset doesn't show up and replace the old one, What should I do? I think I may have the wrong color depth. Mine is set to 24

I think tiles should be 256 colors.

When I go to Adove Photo shop to edit them and when I save them I save them as .bmp and the bit depth's I can get are 8, 16 , and 24

8 = 256 colors
16 = 65,536 colors
24 = 16,777,216 colors

Do Save As -> 256 colors in MSPaint.

If the import doesn't work you can always copy your tileset image and open the map with paint and paste, then save. That always used to work for me when the import never work and the tiles came out fine.

You could also switch to a map editor that supports tilesets with more than 256 colors.
