Right, I have this "friend". He's very... well, his parents didn't really teach him what to do when he's in someone else's house.

Today, I went on a trip to Belgium. I told him I couldn't go to the gym today with him because of that.
After I left (at like 14:00) he just got in my house without even asking anyone if he could go in my room or anything, he just grabbed my keys (he knows where I ususally put them when I don't take 'em with me), enters my room and drinks my soda, eats my chips and uses my computers.

I think this is VERY rude and I sent him a really angry message about it... I'm so pissed off! new_let_it_all_out.gif

You have a right to privacy. I personally use a password. Let him know how you and the rest of the world feel about doing those things. If he doesn't listen just ignore him and lock everything up (if possible) Use a password. I am guessing he isn't smart enough to "bypass" a windows password. Or a BIOS password for that matter. Be sure to make a "Password on Resume" for your screensaver. You can always do the same thing back to him, but I don't suggest it. It's better to show compassion and care. Says so in the Bible :)

What? Why are you telling me how to secure my computers? I think I'd probably be the one telling you how to secure yours.

I could lock my windows box with a smartcard and fingerprint reader and a boot password right now, but I don't want to because there's no real reason to.
My room's door has a lock on it, which I have all keys of, that's enough.

The point of my post doesn't even concern the fact how he used my computers, it's about how rude he is in general.

Just wondering, do you think you're "smart enough" to bypass a windows password?

Rude friends are annoying. I just had one come over. icon_sad.gif Well, mine doesn't eat my food or use my computer without asking, but he's still obnoxious.

Anyway, it's what you dutchies get for your anarchist policies.

Yeah, I had a friend like that; He would just invite himself round my house, sit down on my sofa, flick through the channels, ask me to get him some snacks and then he would leave...

He isn't my friend anymore! icon_smile.gif
