Yup, if you're smart you'll wear a helmet. If you're not, you won't. Doesn't matter if states repealed such law's requiring helmets, common sense tells you to wear one, or have a possible scrambled brain.

Do you wear a real helmet or one of the imitation german ones?

This pic reminds me of watching Red Asphalt 1 -> 3 for Driver's Ed. years ago.

One of my buddies was an EMT or whatever. He was telling a story once of a guy who was wearing a helmet, but he had dragged across the pavement so far that the helment (and a substantial part of his skull) had been ground off.

You take risks at everything. The idea is, does the benefit outweigh the risks. And when possible, attempt to reduce the risks.

In 2004 motorcycle helmets saved 1,316 lives. NHTSA says that if all motorcyclists had worn helmets, 671 more lives would have been saved. Helmets are estimated to be 37 percent effective in preventing fatal injuries.

This past weekend, my brother and a friend here went out to Pittsburg for a bike show (I had work). Lets just say, Pittsburg is a very biker unfriendly town.

Hey, I never said I'm smart.
I play with fire too.

Then again, half of current (and then before) SS players are dopeheads.
So I'll say that in such a bad company, I'm coming off rather well and good.

Minor? He broke his skull half open and doctors say he's in serious but stable condition.
