For some unknown reason, ALL the .cfg files in my home server directory aren't there anymore... I checked Norton UnErase and there was no backup of the files either, so it may have happened a while ago...

But now I'm trying to convert the .set files I still have to .cfg files, but Facts give me an error about a missing MSFLXGRD.OCX file when I click the set->cfg button
Then the window still appears to select the file(s) to convert, but when I choose one, nothing happens

I downloaded the missing file, but it won't register (Translated error message when running regsvr32 C:\windows\system\Msflxgrd.ocx :
<the file> is not an executable file and no registering assistance application is available for this type of file)

anyways... I always hated FACTS , is there any other program out there to convert .set to .cfg? or any other way that I could get my settings back =/

I think you can use ?setsettings to upload a .set file and the server will turn it into a .cfg for you.

err... nevermind icon_wink.gif

I still wonder why my cfg's got deleted tho :S any idea how that could happen?

If you don't want to use facts, you can edit it by hand.

Just plopping the .ocx into system32 should do the trick. No need to register it.

well it didnt, facts still doesnt find it (unless i'd need to reboot or something)

so its not that I don,t want to use it... it just doesnt work tongue.gif

but ?setsettings name.set worked fine icon_smile.gif
kinda pisses me off tho... I lost alot of my arenas' settings completly, and the ones I recovered do not include the most recent changes

Try spending hours on making brand new settings in-game, and when you are almost done, you have a power outage and you havent saved a thing.
