ASSS Questions - Ssb2 + Asss

Post subject: Ssb2 + Asss
ok i'm trying to connect ASSS to SSB2 and its simply not working. i connect fine with the old subbill (with the exception of "onknown packet type 21") and i've tried what i could to connect it to SSB2 with no luck. i've got the same ports and pw's matched up and i uncommented billing_ssc and left billing commented and changed the encrpyt mode is SSB2

SSB2 (ran it through a couple of times)
kept giving me connection requested from 127.0.0.1 : 2060
invalid login from 127.0.0.1 : 2060
connection termination from 127.0.0.1 : 2060

where the 2060 would always be a different number.. any help on this is appreciated.

Sounds like it's not registered on the biller. You have to set up a zone account and password, and make sure they're matched with the settings in the asss config.

where do i do that from? not out of ini and there aren't any commands for the biller itself (although pressing random buttons does occasionally output stuff)

When you are in a zone connected to the biller, login to BanG and use the ?addzone command.

i only have the one zone and the biller... i dont have any other zones connected to it. so i'm at a loss at how to do that

Have subgame connect to the biller, then connect to that zone, and use ?addzone.

That's not the problem. "Invalid zone login" has nothing to do with registering anything, it reports that when groupid, scoreid, or serverid are <= 0. You can add these to the billing section in global.conf.

thanks for the help cyan. i got it set up right finally. just a quick addon, its not causing any problems but the biller has an error "unhandled packet (21)(5)" any ideas if this is gonna cause problems or should be anything of concern?
