It's about who you know OR what you've got. Plenty of the SSC zones had sysops that knew someone that got them there, but you don't have to do that. I made it in the hard way with 25 players a night.

Not really, per-sa.
You made it being an ASSS experimental "original" zone so you got an instant slot on SSX since it fit xal at the time to do *nix and SSC comes bonusized.
Besides, you could do better without it, really.
The biggest problem is an actual heavy duty server that can constantly run the zone 24/7 without a hitch and support an expansive userbase.

I'm saying that the SSC biller is not a mandatory and it'll be better to have your own.
Because what's important is a good server host, not a biller.
A biller won't help you if your zone host is a piece of junk on a miserable cable modem.

Some people are claiming 1stStrike shutdown the SSI zones and ran some MMORPG server. It appears Death+ and Argyle are running SSI now although no one ever speaks straight when it comes to who controls what so I'm not sure on this.

Do not hold the SSC sacred. The only good thing about it is that you can chat with people in lots of different zones. Otherwise it's mostly just abusive retards.

Agreed don't hold it sacred but do any non-SSC zones get much pop? I don't think so. Besides what zones come up when you first download Continuum? They are all SSC zones.

Only the SSC zones that were built into the installer of Continuum will appear, not all of them.

Or, as in the case with sscentral, the zones we add to the zone list before we package it into the exe file show up, and they're not all ssc zones.

You're putting the cart before the horse. Non-SSC zones that can hold population universally become SSC zones.

True, that is the only way to get SSC, unless you know someone.
