I dont know how to wrap these in the write words but this is what im trying to do:
1. I made a background in paint about 10inches long and wide
2. I want to spread it out so my zone could look like its a island in the background.

Make an image that looks good tiled. It should be some power of 2, such as 128x128, 256x256, or 512x512. Use LVZ to tile it all over the map space. The only extra bandwidth is first-time download. It wil affect FPS to some degree on crappy systems (ie 1/2 of SS players).

I suggest you use CLIT for mapobjects.
