Post subject: Which language
What language is needed to code on bots? C++? And is JAVA diffrent from C++?

You can code bots in any language you want. If you want to edit a current bot, use the language that the bot was programmed in (unless if it's in .NET, you may use ASP, C#, VB, and even C++ within the framework).

And, yes, Java is different from C++.

Java is easier than c++. I don't see the need in using hard things for simple bots. If you can figure out c++, go for it. Try Java also. See what you like best. icon_biggrin.gif

Dr. Seuss is easier than Tolkien. Doesn't make it better.

What is so good about the TW CORE and is ASSS in C++?
Chambahs - Sun Dec 18, 2005 9:46 pm
Post subject:
ASSS is in C and python

python = easiest IMO

TWCore was coded in Java.

Once you setup TWCore the rest is a breeze. Hard to figure out how to configure for some ppl.

Personally I think using Hybrid is the easiest, but Im also a biased fuck, so my opinion doesnt count for much.

Easier to setup, just as easy to program with. Only downside is most people dont like finding out they have to actually make everything themselves instead of downloading stuff from an intarweb machine.

So for coding as3 modules and stuff you need to know C++ and python (<which is what?). And what is teh diffrence between 'c' and 'c++'

Post subject:
C is a subset of C++

to program for ASSS you need to know either C(or C++) or python.

Its a scrpting-ish programming language which asss has the ability to import modules of.

Chambahs thinks python is the easiest which is why he's always asking someone to figure out why it doesn't work for him. Python may very well be easy as a first language but I don't really like all of the ambiguity.
