would be if 127.0.0.1 worked though right?

ok, so i actually got this to work without having to redo the *entire* computer... whew!
I had to delete *everything* that even remotely resembled the server files, and even move it to another directory... (somehow i just couldn't get things to act right on "d:\program files\continuum\server", which is a bit odd") and it WORKS! I did all the other changes in server.ini as you suggested, thank you and I've started handing out my zone.
Thank you very much. There will be another reply to this thread stating another problem i got (lets just hope I wont be one of those guys who's asking every and all questions, tho...

Now, I can't say I have too much experience with this kind of server and all, but i do know how to follow instructions..
I did read up about making sub-arenas and it seems to work out fine. But I've also heard that there's a way of making a sub arena in the "reversed order". Ie, you first enter your soon to be sub arena with the ?go command, and then type "?setlevel [mapname].lvl". Now I get an error stating "Unable to open file: [mapname].lvl" each time I do this, if I don't state the FULL path ("?setlevel d:\sserver\[mapname].lvl").
Now, if I state the full path, the new level/map loads. But with one quirk, which I haven't fully understood yet. The new map overwrites the main arenas current map, taking its place...?
Now, it might be because I've misunderstood everything but what is ?setlevel actually about, then?
And how would you go about replacing a sub arenas map with ?setlevel. Lets also imagine that you have the .lvl-file on your harddrive and want it uploaded to the server (which is located elsewhere). Since I've had some problems with this, I was thinking of adding this to the FAQ, if Shanky'll let me...

1st, the ?setlevel command loads from the continuum directory by default, so if oyu are lazy and just want to ?setlevel mymap.lvl put it there
Ok, 2nd, the ?setlevel command attaches the map to the cfg (not physicly) of the current arena, so if you are attaching it to the main arena, it means that you arent in a unique subarena.
You can just *putfile a cfg for your subarena, OR you can change the ArenaMode in server.ini to something other than 5. The comments should help you out with this. This will make the server create a new .cfg for the arena when you enter it. You can then do a ?setlevel on it and change any settings you need to (as the settings are now independent of the main arena).
And 3rd, if you want to add to the FAQ, you want to talk to MGB, not Shanky
.

?setlevel and ?setsetting used to have the ability to specify a path incase the file isn't at the local dir, another thing which priitk managed to screw up (at least in the zone I was at with continuum and I belive they have latest subgame, it had a problem with one of the two refusing to upload a pathed file and only uploading if its local and pathless).
