Bot Questions - Problem with MERVbot and Duel? (or is it just my map?)

Attached is a screenshot of me in my duel level. Whenever I fly into a warp box, it never seems to warp me anywhere. It just keeps spewing those messages shown in the picture.

I can post my duel.ini and my duel.lvl if needed, I'd just like to fix this problem as quickly as possible, its quite annoying.

Sounds like you don't have your INI set up correctly. Either double-check it or post it here.

Also, use PNG for screenshots.

Thank you all for your assistance. I know greatly how to make .lvz files now thanks to all of you.
I have one question. If you make lvzs can you insert any type of file? (.bm2, .wa2)

Can you post your INI? There is a radius thing on their, if your within that radius it should work. I'd make it 3 or 4. sa_tongue.gif

Or you can use TWCore and use a bot im secretly making. (Not a secret anymore icon_cry.gif )

Posting the INI... I tried following the readme to the best of my ability, but im guessing I screwed up somewhere.

And sorry about the JPG, its a habit I have when I save screenshots >_>

Code: Show/Hide

// Duel boxes should have no exits and fit within a rectangle

[Boxes]
// Portals should be near the respawn area: bot warps players from here to the duel box
// Erase the boxes you don't need, 0-7 are supported
// Syntax: 0=x1 y1 x2 y2  x3 y3  x4 y4  x5 y5 x6 y6 name
//          source portal   |      |         |

not to say your stupid, its a very honest mistake, but did you put your bot on staff? just to be sure. i know ive done it a couple of times, just like wondering why your car wont start and after hours of wasting time, you figure its because you have no gas lol

OK, i'm one step closer to fixing the problem. Now when I enter the warp-box, it doesn't warp me into the duel box, it warps me to the center of the map (as if a door had just closed on me, when it really hadnt). I'm uploading the new version of my map. The INI is still the same.

Simple, tiles are 16 pixels by 16 pixels. Ships are somewhere in the range of 30x30. you are warping them to the VERY corners of the map, where their ship, which you can think of as a 3x3 tile block, lands on the corner itself. Move the warping targets in one tile diagonally closer to the center of the box and give it a try.

OK, will do.

Edit: And semi-unsuprisingly, it works. Thanks for all your help.
