i'm using ASSS 1.4.0 on Windows and i try to use commands like ?a and the don't work... PLZ HELP

I don't like 1.4.0 for windows.. there's no settings in ?getsettings or ?quickfix

Did you put yourself in staff.conf set ?passwd?

Here.. open staff.conf located in your /conf/ folder and make it look like this:

[GroupPasswords]
; this section is just "group-name = password"
; groups that aren't listed can't be logged into by password.
sysop = PASSWORD

; the rest of the sections in this file are named after arena groups

[(global)]
; these are "playername = group"
YOURNAME = sysop

when you enter your zone.. type ?grplogin sysop PASSWORD and you should be able to use the ?a/?aa commands..

The best way is to remove all of the entries in [GroupPasswords] and to just add all of the staff memebers into [(global)].

Then the only thing you have to do is make sure all of the staff members do ?passwd <their alias's password>, exit and reenter.

Doing it like this is far more secure and convenient.
