Open your computer up, take it apart, and put it back together. That's how I learned.

lol.. i hope my parents wont get mad.. I'll try it!

Just make note of where everything goes. Most things are pretty self explanitory, ie, you can't accidentify fit your memory stick into the slot for your vid card, won't fit. Just make sure you don't force anything. If something isn't going in or coming out, take a closer look at it. Chances are you missed a lock or clip somewhere. You should never have to force hardware.

:O lol would it reformat my computer after doing this? Also, will each part have a name on it? lol

Your harddrive will not format itself. Just don't drop it I've never seen a computer with labeled hardware. There might be a map on the inside of your case, but that's about it.

Just make sure you are not static electrically charged, if you touch your motherboard at the wrong place you can destroy it with a single spark.
(At least, thats what they always told me - it never happened to me)
Quan Chi2 - Mon Sep 05, 2005 6:32 pm Post subject:
seriously?

Yes. It's pretty rare though. A good policy is to never actually touch the face of any PCB (printed circuit board), just handle them by the edges.

Just to be on the safe side, you should take off all your clothes while manipulating electronic parts.
