The only people who make continuum "look bad" are the cheaters who cheat in an online 2D space game, how more pathetic can you get.
Furthermore - a precaution ban isn't being scared, its preventing instead of curing.
It isn't even sure at this point he was banned for this [as Solo Ace already stated], so you are the one who should "think before" even posting.

I think the chances of someone saying 'how do i cheat' and getting banned shortly after because someone else got banned with similar ban info at the same time are quite low.

Maverick, thats a poor excuse to ban someone for a year. You guys are scared. That guy was right. I was just curious. I had found the program and wanted to know how I would be able to use it on Continuum. If I used it on Continuum, that would be an entirely different story. I didn't expect to get banned for asking. If I knew, then I would not have asked. Mabye you guys need to think more before you act.
BTW, I do play in SSCI Dragonball Z. Some guy named The Apache said that he would get me fired from BattleField. He left DBZ, came back like a minute later, and I got disconnected.
Then I went back in for about 20 seconds and got D/C'd. Then I couldn't go in. It gave me a ban ID and stuff... I eventually was banfreed in SSCI Dragonball Z and BattleField. But I don't like being banned from almost the entire Continuum.

It was pretty stupid to ask such a question, really. It's like "Here's a link to gashi but don't download this!"

to ban someone for asking a question is wrong, to netban them entirely is
a sign of ignorance on the sysop who has stepped over the bounds of a netban policy.
Frankly as a former sysop myself, the ban should be removed, the sysop should be given a clear and concise understanding of a netban. If this sysop is already familiar with the policies and guidelines of netban, then he/she acted inproperly.
There are times when staff act improperly as well, and not all of the players are the creators of the problems that exist in the game.

Any zone sysop is welcome to locally ban whoever they wish for whatever reason. That means if they feel they need to ban someone for asking how to use a cheat program they can do so.. locally. However it is against the SSC netban guidelines to netban for that reason.
The ban is being looked into, at this time it cannot be said if this player is being blocked intentional or whither his information is being caught in another netban by accident.

I didn't say he deserved a netban, I said it was stupid. He shouldn't have done it.

I'll make this short and simple, I looked into the net-ban the only match between him and the net-ban are IP's. He is the EXACT same IP as said net-ban. Only difference being, his nickname and the MID.
Which is weird, usually you'd think okay a nickname of "Cheat Engine 5.0" which he obviously stated asking questions about how to use it in "Continuum" along with the little remaining fact that it could be possible he changed his MID, no?
I'm not going to add anything else, needless to say he might have been caught with his little hand in the cookie jar.

If it's anything, I wasn't able to get netban's (since they [netops] need to see it for themselves I guess) for players who I know where cheating so I was resorted to just BanG-ing them locally.

He's banned. Anyone remember Ken the Great, how he got banned for "speed hacking"? you get banned, it's not forever, so just wait it out

it's one year, then if the person who initiated the ban knows that they'll either re-ban for 365 days or just let the person out of the ban. Just thought I'd point that out.
