Not possible, unless you make each ship using different weapons.

You can make bombs look different by having 3 ships use bomb level 1/no emp, level 2/no emp and level 3/no emp; then give 3 more ships have level 1-3 bombs with emp. All six ships will use different (customizable) graphics. Set the emp to time out really quickly and the bombs (and mines) will look different but behave the same. The first three will use the bomb1.wa2 - bomb3.wa2 sounds, while the second three will use ebomb1.wa2 - ebomb3.wa2 and the ebombex.wa2.
Its a bit of works, but you get the bombs to look different this way. (The above setup would work best with either ships that can't upgrade their bombs or settings where ships 1-4 are in freq 0 (without emp) and ships 5-8 are in freq 1 (with emp) as this would give each freq their own flavor of bombs.
