Thats odd... the email program is not setup yet so I set the forum to not email passwords to users. I'll look into it and pm you with a new password on this forum if you would like.

Try giving PunBB a try. I've heard good things about it. Its very minimal and simple to use.

Dumb question, but are you running the right version of PHP?

I know from experience that some scripts written on php4 choke on php5.

Speaking of which, MGB upgrade to php5!

Im running

Code: Show/Hide

Apache version 2.0.53
MySQL version 4.1.10a
PHP version 5.0.4

phpbb2 requirements is PHP (4.0.3 and above)

so it shouldn't of had any problems unless if perhaps since they took the attachments out and the attachment mod I downloaded (which was for the newest version) messed something up in the board itself. But I know that I did in fact install the mod the right way and it worked fine aslong as the board was using the subsilver theme.

I don't own the box. It belongs to Woolnet. Thus, we have no control over that, unless we move the server to another box on their server, or they (or cPanel) want to upgrade.

Friend of a friend plan, thus $20 a month for a shit load of bandwidth, of which we are using around 25% of (these forums are only 5gig a month). Not that great of hard drive space, but the bandwidth is nice. Plus, can usually bug him real quick on ICQ when needed.

As a host, they aren't bad, but there are better. Depends on what you want, since hosting services are very plentiful right now.

Oh... nice.

Whatever shanky set me up with is more than enough for the time being, the only other things Im looking for is php5 and shell access possibly JSP if I get real ambitious. Right now its not a necessity, but it's something Ill be lookin into in the future, as my dialup connection makes it hard to run more than zero bots reliablly.
