When I click on that Compile.exe thing, it does the stuph, I click go, and then it stops in like 3 seconds with an error and a botton 'OK.' The error msg is...

Log line 29:=shipstats
Please help me...

I had that problem, I think I fixed it by going and killing some peeps, and then compiling.

Does the log (substats.log in the merv dir) have anything in it? If not, do as Dr. Brain said and go show it a kill. However, I'm pretty sure the latest version handles empty logs more gracefully than that...
If the log isn't too big, paste it in here.
