Post subject: Settings that might crash server
I know there are few settings that with certain values might cause a crash/recycle in server. Have those been listed somewhere? If not, could you tell the ones you have encountered so we know to be more cautious with those.

Setting all the prizeweights to 0 might crash the server every time someone dies.

Also, putting everything at extreme speeds will lag/crash the zone, like all those people who make their first zone and want those rediculous "fun" super setts

Setting VirtualMinimum < 8 will do it.

You need to start visiting the wiki, Ekted. Your knowledge would be much appreciated.

Maybe it's time to change icon_wink.gif ... what will it hurt to just write down everything you know about the game, that others may be able to learn from it ... it will also give you a tool to just say *point to: wiki topic* tongue.gif

If someone feels that something I say is worth putting in there, feel free.

Are you sure it's > 6? It says maximum of 8 right now on the wiki.

That's already done. In fact, you're directly quoted in the door sync article.

Not too sure about this. I think we have it as high as 8 in one arena.

Maybe he'll abuse the info! sa_tongue.gif

Anyway, when I messed with some server, somewhere, it crashed when I let too many flags spawn, I think it crashed at 1000, but seeing T3G having memory problems at some event with 100 flags I assume 200 flags might cause serious problems for subgame as well.

I think theres a limit on turf flags, shouldn't the same limit apply to warzone?

MaxFlags in the settings are limited to 32. You can't go any higher, unless you play little tricks where you start with turf flags, but can pick them up and move it. Turf is 255, limited by the protocol.

Powerballs is 8 I believe, anymore will crash the server.

Does subgame ignore >32 or does it crash?

Yeah, I've witnessed that too. It seems that anything greater than 10 crashes. icon_confused.gif
