Roll is good for zones with airplanes and spaceships, etc. ![]() |

True, but with practice (like in EG) you can master the gameplay. ![]() |

if you're looking at your ship while you aim, you're hopeless anyways |

My oppinion is that roll looks always cool on any ship. And if you wanna blame roll for your crappy aim, you can always turn it off in options. I could even imagine using roll feature for soldiers and those "shipsets", which are not any airplane nor ship actually.
And what really makes me sad are those shipset maker wannabes who steal some crappy scifi fighter from some starcrack site and put it into those funny tools like EZ image rotator - the result: when you rotate your ship, also the sun runs in circles around the world. You don't have to be graphics God to laff at that ![]() Aside of that since other players' ships does not roll, I decided to save some (reasonable) download size for my upcoming race arena = no rolls. (just imagine it, you and your opponent, fighting for 1st and 2nd place, drifting some long wide turn at a full speed - your racer is excellently banked, while his is just like a pinned bug.. ) |

Or start off with roll on an optional status, and tell your pop to disable it if they want to. ![]() |

This would lead to crippled ships - your custom arena ship when player is steady for example, and default ships or player's custom ships when he's rolling. Anyway, I was not asking, just wanted to say that the template is here, so I don't wanna see another EZ rotator crap ![]() |

If you put custom ships in some lvz, then it disables rolls unless it also finds rolls in the lvz. |
