Doesn't that mean your machine is sending too many packets?

Yah, means that his computer is recieveing more packets that are sent. Try disconnecting your router and then playing the game by hooking your cable modem directly to your comp.

It means that somewhere on your upstream, from your OS, local router, cable modem, ISP, or somewhere on the backbone (happens more often than you think), the packet is getting sent twice, or its getting edited a bit and sent again with a slight packet header change, thus the receiving end things its a new packet.

Most likely, it will have no effect what so ever on your game play. As long as your close to -100% (usually on the -99/-98% side), you are fine. Just means that every packet is getting hit like this.

If it doesn't go away in a week or so, I'd recommend then coming back and we'll help you run threw a few tests to see if its anything related to your end.

thx but am i feeling a bit of jet lag here...?

why are u guys saying cable modem when i clearly said dsl >____>

btw my dsl modem is a 2 in one (modem/router) so theres no way to seperate it.

usually when i enter a zone i have a 50/50 chance of getting specced
usually when my packetloss goes into -5 or more
but sometimes it stays at -3

You can start by running subotronic to a zone of choice (or any IP for that matter) so you can see where's that annoying node that's killing your connection.

Then next step, we start talking about nukes and mail bombs. new_evil.gif

It is most likely verizon, though, for two reasons:
For one, you've mentioned that you've recently changed to them, and as it seems that since then problems started.
For two, they've recently made some crappy moves which then in turn pissed some people, so who knows what is being done to them.

So, do the people at ssdownloads.com know what CSS is?

I'm certain that they'll discover it in around 5.323 light years.
