Trash Talk - Conspiracy?

Well, I've gotten my spot on Cyan~fire's lovely server, so I'm going semi-official with this. My current project Conspiracy will hopefully be going up as soon as I get my temporary pub map, and settings, sent off to Cyan's email later tonight; I'm just finnishing a minor editing glitch.

This project is going to be, what else, attempt #2 of my Drifter Colony project I did on Silverflow's server back a few years ago, way back when I realised I misspelled my name and changed it to Hybrid Cross (Heavens, I was such a newb.) Anyway...

So, here is the deal. If you have a map idea, setting, or lvz file you think is better then Jesus on sliced bread, then send it to me HybridCross@hotmail.com and we'll see about trying showing it off to the masses. Bots, however, we'll have to talk about.

Alrighty the reason why I'm posting here, and not in Zone junk - I need a Tileset that is not affiliated with any zone, so I can start work on a new pubmap. Yeah, well, super.

Edit: Well shit, Mine move this. I meant to post it in General, and not Trash. >.<;

Acutally, this is the right place for it. General is for questions only, not requests.

This is still very fitting for Zone Junk. This forum is designed for requests for Zones (such as finding staff) or for zones to advertise. Trash Talk is for mostly non-SS related topics, while General Questions is for server questions.

My advice is to lay out the map first, then make the tileset to do what the layout requires, then tile it.

Alright, heheh I thought I goofed up, which would be fitting. I've been rolling ideas around in my head for a while her, developing some projects that I want to attempt, right now its doing a powerball map; from there I'll probably work on a theme map, theme I've no idea on what it would be just yet.

Hah, I know absolutely nothing about the lvz, in the two years of them I've never put forth the effort to learn it - which is going to be my main focus for tomarrow, to wet to drive, or do anything else so I'm going to try and teach myself the ins and outs and have a working lvz set in about two hours.

Which brings me to another question, anyone know a free image editor - something other then paint?

probably for you, though (assuming you want it for Windows): http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

or, to encourage the ultimate in laziness, just download and install these (in order):

btw if you happen to be open to using pirated software, just pm me (cough>...not that I _have_ any, honest sa_tongue.gif</cough)

Where should I begin on this forum when it comes to my reading of the lvz info?

Download the lvztoolkit.zip, almost everything is in there except a minor detail in the inner workings of version 1 lvz.
