for CLIT: you need the java runtime environment

just to make a tileset, there's a good tutorial at server help

You want the JRE; once it's installed,

goto run->cmd

navigate to the location of the directory that clit.jar is in, and type:

java -jar clit.jar

Sample:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\>cd 3d

C:\3d>javaw -jar CLIT.jar

C:\3d>

Or you can just associate JAR files with the java EXE, and double click them to run.

JRE - Java Runtime Environment
JDK - Java Development Kit

I believe the JDK includes the JRE, so either option is good.

you need winRar to uncompress the .rar file... google for it

then you'll get the jar file and can run it like cypher explained above

7-Zip is better, and open source to boot.
