it's true solo puts down a lot of zones / ideas, but I can't disagree with him here.
Zelda, you're not going to get an AI bot, sorry to say. Catid orignally was working on SSBot2 which was going to be an AI bot before he turned it into merv core. Just doing something that can take damage isn't easy, because of all the things you need to program in, wormholes, repels, other players being hit, prox, thor, bounce, damage multipliers.

Over at SSCI GundamWing, they have a "drone" bot thats does all of that, I would gladly make it myself but I'm new to programming and everyone is insisted on leaving me that way, no one will give me the slightest bit of help.

I have no clue how GW did that, it's probably quite flawed.

I wrote a post on ssforums about how he did it. It really isnt that hard, just a lot of work and trig. The formulas that make the bot take damage are about the same as the damage bots ive made, there is a crap load that he is still missing (reps, wormholes). SSbot2 is probably a large porition of that bot's coding.

So, I take it no one will help me out? I was thinking... If someone just made one that reacts with the normal settings you start out with and just point me in the right direction at editing it, you could make It public and people would stop asking for them, you know? You would go down in SS history. ^_^

The reason it hasn't been done is that it's incredibly complex. You'd have to almost make a complete client to make a bot that obeys proper physics. Even if you only do 90%, it will look like it's cheating.
