Post subject: packets?
Look, I know you're not here to teach people how to program tongue.gif But my question is a little more specific than that.

I know how to program, I don't know anything about programming for the internet. I want to learn more about it... about packets and socket servers and this and that (if i knew more specificly, I wouldn't have to ask you!)

Get the book "TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 1" by Stevens. That'll give you the overview of how things work. The networking API for Windows is detailed here:

Are parts of the MSDN (specifically that part) available as .pdf?

I don't think there are... but you could get the print to PDF drivers, or programs icon_smile.gif
