call me dumb but for some reason i cant get the sysops/smods/mods to work lol

well i just cant get myself to be a sysop/smod or even mod! i dont know wtf im doing wrong but im doing something wrong. ive been to all the places on shanky.com and ive done what it says but it wont work

well meaby you should try disabeling sysop check (temporarely). after make sure in your server.ini under [Password]
Sysoppassword= ##### is with no *.
then go in your zone,wishper to yourself or pub chat
*[yourppw] if this doesnt work (im not expert) well ask dr brain or other guyz on the forum
