Post subject: Staff pass and getting them in

How do i make myself a sysop and make others smods and mods? this hasnt been covered anywhere i can see..

also where do i get the files to mod the settings of the ships and stuff?

If you have the CheckMod=1, CheckSMod=1 and CheckSysop=1 then you need to add the staff to the appropriate .txt (eg. moderate.txt). You will also have to give the passwords to whom ever you want to be a smod or sysop, but do NOT give the mod pass to mods. Mods will automaticly get powers.

Edit server.cfg, or press esc+c when logged in as a sysop.

ok but when i have the Sysop pass what command do i use to activate it in the game?

*pass where pass is the sysop password or append *pass to the end of your username's password.

Becuase they can still use some of the staff powers when they are NOT on the list, and they never need it anyway.
