Is there a way to change the . thing behind the file. Changing file.mov to file.mpg would be an example because I wanna post my RC clips on here for people to watch.

Well you can't change mov to mpg directly. Google for video converters.

If you want to be able to rename and view file extentions in explorer, open up any window, go to Tools, Folder Options. Then go to the View tab. Somewhere in that scroll list is the option "Hide file extensions for known file types." Uncheck that, and you'll see all the file extentions for everything.

If you want to convert the movie format from one to another, which you cannot do by just renaming the file, check this site out. Contains links to a bunch of video converters.

Well, I really want to change my MPEG files to some extension compatible with this forum, because my camera saves its files as file.mpg.

Maybe because they arn't a normal server file, a text file, or an image? Plus, they are huge, and won't even be in the 200k limit I set, or whatever it is.

Upload it somewhere else. If it is small enough, you could always put it inside a zip file.

The thing is... I don't have a place to upload it.

If you gave me a suggestion on how big it is (2meg? 700meg? 5gig?), I could probably find you a place to put it if its reasonably sized. If it is too big, but not too long (like 5 minutes playtime), it isn't too hard to convert it to a better format, such as XVid (usually inside of AVI or OGM containers).
