Good day,

This is Adept Killer aka Cloud City Trooper. I was looking across your great forums/site and I must admit I am a bit disappointed that you're not utilizing the latest build of phpbb, v. 2.0.8 [this board is running 2.0.3]. Not only patching helps in the case of security threats [which there are many that this forum is vulnerable to], but overall forum speed as well. I hope you don't take this with a grain of salt..

I spent one weekend attempting to setup the Archives and the main forums for the newest version, but I was unable to finish. And with school getting near the end, and finals week coming up shortly, my attention is diverted.

As I have done a lot of custom hacks and such to these forums, I cannot simple just upgrade. Things will break, parts will not fit right. So, I have to re-apply a lot of little small things into the newest versions to get the system back up and running.

Almost all the security fixes I do set manually into these forums, as they usually are very simple fixes that won't break other things. But since I don't update fully, I see no need in updating the version number.

Make it a sticky, or turn it onto an announcement so people stop asking.
