Trash Talk - Split from ASSS: Grav vs Ekted Gravitron - Sat Apr 03, 2004 6:35 am Post subject:
I would like to remind our highness mr. ekted that, I am here.
And this is still, partially, my domain not BDE's nor. Kasesalu's stomping grounds.
So just as much as your assortment likes to "warn" me when I'm "being negative", I'll convey a similar such warning to you.
You don't need to use four letter words inorder for me to transport you over to the trash talk, so I suggest you behave.
And inorder to discourage any further attempts at stinging the folks who are actually trying to do something beneficial, I think I can safely speak in Grel's name and explain that the single intent behind his words was that bug reports will go respectively to where they should.
As he's, yet, to study catid's modified code and thus unable to respond/make use of any information coveyed to him about catid's version.
Hence, bugs/feedback about catid's work are to be delivered to catid, and those of the official release are to be directed at Grel.
I hope this makes it all clear.
Please keep in mind that the aforementioned warning is not limited to mr. ekted and does infact extends to the rest of the forum users, past, present and future.

[..]Muahahah! The pitfalls of open source.
Somehow, I don't find this positive, nor does it fit the "Questions only about ASSS" rule for this forum segment.
==============================
Matters not what I think, matters not what you think, matters what MGB thinks.
MGB positioned me here to maintain order and productivity.
(So...) Consider it as if it came from MGB (himself), since ,as in a sense, it did.
You wish to lash at people?
Then take it there.
If you wish to discuss the viability of open source versus the benefits of closed source, you may take it there as well.
Otherwise, remain civil to the other denizens.
This segment of the forum is designated for ASSS development and inquaries alone, and that solely, not for coder-esque political views arguments.
And don't even think about getting technical and to the letter with me.
We're both smarter than that.
You want to make fun of people, of what they do or think?
You know the way. /*points over to TT*/
I hope that this, will be that, and it ends at it.

You can't expect every thread to be absolutely strictly on topic. Things come up in the course of discussion. I have had the "open source" discussion with grel a few times in the past. I thought it was a relevent point.
If you want to see an example of a pointless mean post, check out your own: http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?t=2527Gravitron - Sat Apr 03, 2004 10:30 pm Post subject:
You are correct, that post was majorly done tastelessly.
Then again, I call the same on this entire hoax.
However, unlike the players who quit and what not as result of the latter, the damage of that post can still be majorly undone, and it shall be.
And it is true, I cannot expect every thread to stay on topic.
But for as long as it keeps to the appropriate "theme" of the forum, it's just fine (and may or may not be split onto its own thread).
But, when it becomes to nothing more than mockery and gigles at others, it's time to move to the trash talk.

I resent that.
Though the sting of "your highness" was not entirely in place and somewhat personall, these posts were not meant to be as a personal assault on ekted, but as a personal assault on disruption of forums.
