I think if there is to be aclient released it should be for all 3 operating systems, Mac/Windows and *nix. In either case I think you'll just begin to see a lot of clients that run on ASSS protocol :/

I thought I'd jump on the 'make a game client' bandwagon too. Starting on Monday I can already spec follow players.
