Hey this is a real noob question but i'm new to the concept of .lvz

I want to change the graphic of our ships bullets but i'm not sure where i would go about this. Is that a lvz setting or something else?

To replace graphics for your zone, you just create a regular image. Name it as whatever image you'd like to replace. All the master images are in the \graphics\ folder of Continuum. Notice the ext .bm2, can be simply renamed to .bmp, and you dont need to use .bmps anymore, several new types are supported.

LVZ's give zone owners the ability to 'package' files w/ some compression, which these files technically read, and replace graphics, sounds, in a zone, if they're listed under the [misc] levelfiles= or whatnot..

hopes this helps answer your question.

Yes it does kind of icon_cool.gif

but lets say i was changing the graphic of the repel for the entire zone.

Could you give me an example of the code i would need to implement it?

If you want to change the bullets, go to your continuum/graphics folder and look for a file called bullets.bm2. You may need to rename this to just bullets.bmp to open it in fireworks or photoshop. After you have it opened in your image editor, set your grid to 5x5, the bullet frames are now seperated by the grid. Modify the default bullets or you can enlarge the canvas size to about whatever you want, but make sure each bullet frame is the same size and square.

To modify your repel graphic, look in your graphics folder for repel.bm2 and follow the same steps as above but change the grid size to 96x96. Good luck icon_smile.gif

Remember, once you a client grabs a image or wave file and what not, even if its not on the zonefiles or w/e, the client will _still_ use it...

thats why I suggest always using a LVZ... this way, the client wont use it if it's not specified.
