You need to forward port 7000 and 7001 to the server that has the server on it. you need to edit your zone.dat on every computer inside the LAN to use the server's internal IP instead of it's external one that's downloaded from the directory server.

im a little new to this stuff....could you explain the forward ports 7000 and 7001? : /, sry....and i want other ppl outside my router to join my zone, not just the ppl im networked too, so would i need to set theirs with this also? as u said?

The port forwarding is on your router, we cant realy help. Read your router manual.
The zone.dat is only for people inside your LAN. I have posted several times about how to do this. Read an older post for instructions.
