General Questions - Java IDE Install Versetti - Sun Jan 18, 2004 1:44 pm Post subject: Java IDE Install
I'm trying too edit that TWCore but I need to get that NetBean IDE thingy.......I got but every time I try too install it says some bull that there is an error. I'm using Windows Server 2003 which I don't see why it would not work.

make sure you have the sdk and jre already installed. you can do this in one step by downloading the co-packaged JDK 1.4.2 and NetBeans IDE executable from java.sun.com
if you don't want to go that way, just download the SDK exe from sun and THEN install NetBeans.
As a side note, i personally much prefer Eclipse (www.eclipse.org), especially since you probably wont be doing any GUI programming for TWCore.

and when you're installing, make sure you've got nothing else running and just leave it alone for a while
