General Questions - Website Database Question wEaViL - Sun Jan 11, 2004 12:02 am Post subject: Website Database Question
K I was wondering something. I've seen it can be done, like on Trench Wars's website and there dueling tourney site you can view user details and squads wins and losses. What I was wanting to know is how you do this. I know its done with database's but thats all I have figured out. Any clues?
<personal thought>
Bet doing a forum search would be easyier if everyone would put a subject line with better detail as to what the post is about... No wonder noone likes to search for anything anymore lol

Generally those types of things are done with PHP and MySQL. PHP is a scripting language: http://www.php.net. MySQL is a widely used free database program: http://www.mysql.com.
Do a Google search for php mysql tutorials, and I'm sure you'll find some info

Remember that example is using CGI, not PHP so make sure you also have a Perl interpreter running on your server.
