I hope you meant ProximityDistance, because if the explode delay is 0, it just means the bomb will explode the instant it is within proximity distance. All that delay means is how long the bomb can wait for, after it enters within proximity distance of the ship, to get closer to the guy. So, a really slow moving bomb will explode a second after it enters proximity distance of a ship standing still. So, you can have a bit of time to attempt to stop, or dodge the bomb. But once the timer is up, it will blow.

Hmm. Anyway, there is some setting that at 0 will allow prox bombs to fly right through ships. Its been a while sence I tried it, but it was a lot of fun.
