Bot Questions - Edit .dlls cr0ssfire - Sat Dec 06, 2003 7:26 am Post subject: Edit .dlls
For a while now I've just been using the standard ElimBot 9.0 from Catids site, but now I want to customize it a little.
All I want to do is change small things, for instance, instead of choosing elim deaths from 1-9 I want 1-10.
The game type selection message (We are voting on the game. 1=blah 2=blah) I would like to be able to change too.
I'm guessing the only way to do this would be to edit the source code & compile it myself. Is the source code available? If so, where can I get it?
Thanks for any help.
PS. Please don't say Catids site, I've not been able to get his site up for about 4 months. SuSE - Sat Dec 06, 2003 8:40 am Post subject:
you may have some redirection problems, as catid.sscentral.com now redirects to mervbot.com
(at any rate sscentral.com and all its subs are down atm - sure to be back up soon [when swift or polix wake up and bitch at their host])
as for source - if catid coded it, you can ask him for the source, I forget if he deleted all his sources or not, though
if someone else coded it...um heh ask them
and you can always ask Bob Dole.. Bob Dole... Bob Dole...... bob dole.... bob... dole.... - he's apparently the resident source file storage facility $
probably was catid since he's (oddly enough) the king of hardcoding (not usually a lot of options in .ini files, etc)

Hmmm maybe I'll edit that plugin to make more options. Shouldn't be too hard.
