hey im trying to run continuum on virtual pc for mac os x and it cant connect. i think the problem is in the airport firewall settings. if aNYONE knows the continuum port that would be mighty helpful. thx,

Look at the server you are trying to connect to. It's that server's port & that server's port + 1.

Hold the right-mouse button down on top of each zone, and it will tell you the zone's ip and port. As Dr. Brain said, you need both that port open (to be able to play) and that port value plus one (so you can 'ping' the zone on the main menu).

also I learned from this board that Directory Servers run on 4990.

Reel, its not hard to figure some of that stuff out manually. Just use netstat (command prompt) or get a good firewall.

Two ports for dir servers. 4990 is for client <-> dir server, while 4991 is for server <-> dir server.
