General Questions - Continuum Sounds Paky Dude - Sun Oct 19, 2003 9:44 am Post subject: Continuum Sounds
Hey, does a sound file have (HAVE) to be 8 bit in continuum?
Paky Dude - Sun Oct 19, 2003 11:30 am Post subject:
I mean, Can continuum sounds be MPEG Layer-3 40kBit/s, 24,000Hz, Stereo?

it can be anything you want, as long as it's a .wav file

erm well ive tried wav's and it only works as .wa2 (i think)
SuSE - Tue Oct 21, 2003 11:57 am Post subject:
.wa2 is an extension name, .wav is an actual format - the only one Continuum uses for sounds
.wav (as a name) works fine for most sounds
the client might still look for .wa2 for a few things like the continuum startup sound, I forget

MPEG Layer-3
Actually they can't be MP3 because MP3s aren't wave files.
