most bots need vip or sysop or whatever to run in a zone. Orelse I think there are too many error messages... anyways... what use would you have by running a bot in a zone that doesn't belong to you? O_o

Most of them just admin... not that many flybots and... well not that many play bots :)

A simple bot-checking thing is to see if they are the following:

1) In VIE client. Technically, they can still be using the client, but most have switched. Still need to check other things.
2) Been online for 13 days straight without any score. Heck, even if they were a player, they are as bad as platinum-halo and should be called a bot.
3) They spam another zone's advertisement to everyone privately at constant intervals, or when they enter the arena, or they say it publicly every 5 minutes on the dot. Even if they are not a bot, still annoying.
4) Don't talk, ever. Or if they do, it is always static sentences that doesn't mean anything. If they always case someone's name properly and put all the weird symbols correctly, could be a kill macro or something, but most people are lazy.
5) If you *setship them, they sit at A1 off the screen, at J10 shooting thors in all directions, or just always aim "up" bouncing around the map without any ship speed. They just bounce.
6) They respond to /!help with 20 full text lines instantly, everytime.
7) Figure out other ways to check. Bots = programs, and programs are stupid. They don't think, they react, its pretty simple to find them.
