I'm trying to start up the asss server but when I do all it does is load everything and it stops when it finishes loading the news.txt and I look for the server in subspace but it doesn't show up can someone help?

Did you try to Find Servers, and find your zone? Or, you already added it, but shows up red in the client?

I coundn't find it when I searched for it so I added with custom and it showed up red. Can someone help?

In modules.conf make sure external:directory isn't comented out with a ";"
If you have a firewall make sure the server port and port + 1 is permitted.
