You _should_ buy it at any computer software seller..

If you're a student you can get an academic version/price through sites such as journeyed.com

If you download it without buying it, that is illegal and it drives the cost up more... thanks! icon_sad.gif

ASSS Compiling Problems FAQ has some links to free compilers. I recommend Dev-C++.

But all C++ DLLs should be the same. I mean it's just hex, shouldn't matter what program you use for 'em, right?

About kazaa: (Discarding my very strong hate of it) Some people also don't like downloading 1GB files for fun.

I'm pretty sure C++ is C++ is C++... a few minor technicalities may exist with perhaps enum's but... other than that ... C++ is standardized pretty much now...

Whatever, I use Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 which I bought, and proud of it. Unlike those who feel that they are entitled to have the software for free through piracy... >: (

Yes, if you are able to compile a MERVBot dll with devc++ (or any other windows compiler), it will work with the MERVBot core. The only problem is that there are several problems in the core source code that make it not easily portable, and because some of the core's files are included in the DLL, it wont compile out of the box.

This is not to say it isn't possible, but everyone to try so far has just been to lasy to bother with it for more than a few miniutes.

I'd do it, but my c++ knowledge sucks.
